Eating a handful of almonds a day, about 50 grams, drastically reduce the chances of premature deaths, improves heart function, lowers cholesterol and helps get rid of excess fat.
According to Dr. Claire Berryman, who led this research, almonds are the ideal remedy to keep us away from cardiovascular diseases, but also to speed up our metabolism. Vitamins, minerals, protein and fiber in almonds suppress excess appetite and increase vitality in fatigue moments.
Health experts recommend daily consumption of almonds in small quantities, especially for people who want to lose weight healthily. It is unclear how exactly almonds nutrients act, but several studies proved that they help in reducing abdominal mass and excess fat on thighs.
