A hot or cold compress is one of the easiest and most effective ways to treat sciatic nerve pain.

  • Take a clean washcloth and dip it in some warm water.
  • Wring out the excess water and place it on the affected area. Once your body absorbs the heat, soak the washcloth again and repeat the process.
  • Alternatively, you can also put some ice cubes in a washcloth and place it on the affected area.
