Bloating is the most common abdominal discomfort, and if bloating isn’t a symptom of a serious disease, you can easily treat it with natural remedies, and avoiding foods that are troublesome for our tummy.
The most common causes of bloating are inappropriate food combinations, gluten and lactose intolerance, a diet high in fats, beans, lentils or chickpeas insufficiently boiled, certain fruits, foods containing starch and sparkling drinks, certain medications or hormonal changes (women).
If you have a rough period of intestinal gases and bloating, we recommend three juices, easy and quick to prepare, perfect to avoid digestive problems, but also for detoxification.
1. Lemon juice with ginger
The easiest and quick remedy to get rid of bloating is ginger lemonade, sweetened with honey. In alternative medicine, ginger is considered an important factor in the elimination of intestinal gas and relaxing the intestinal tract. Basically, this wonderful root successfully fights against the inflammatory factors in the stomach. You can add to this juice half a teaspoon of turmeric, a spice known for its anti-inflammatory properties and for its ability to remove toxins from the body.
2. Strawberry and Chia seeds juice
Put 2 tablespoons of chia seeds in a cup of water and let them soak in the refrigerator for one hour. Once they become soft enough, mix them with the blender with half a cup of strawberries, half a cup of blueberries or raspberries, a tablespoon of lemon or lime juice. This drink is very nourishing, energizing and delicious.
3. Celery, lemon and apple juice
For this juice you need a peeled cucumber, a green apple, juice of half a lemon, leaves from a celery, and a glass of ice cubes. Mix all ingredients in blender and drink it immediately. This juice is also excellent for detoxification, to strengthen immunity and improve blood circulation and to lower cholesterol.
Other quick remedies for bloating are: chamomile tea, ginger tea, green tea, warm water with lemon, mint tea, apple cider vinegar with water in equal amounts.
